Mikaela and the angel of death Izrail (or Azrael, whatever)
The background of this picture is a story ~Fice and I are writing, called VIER (= FOUR - written in German, to be found in my story account --> ~syccas-stories in case you're interested) and it's about the four riders of apocalypse. Mikaela now is the rider of the pale horse - death, she symbolizes water and has a special relationship to Izrail, since she's the only human being who's able to see him... this is to make a long story short.
Mikaela is ~Fices character, if we can talk of "belongings" here... I hope I did her justice, in a way
I'm not too sure about the photoshop effect. I wanted to leave the background blank at the beginning, the water rings to her feet being the only thing there, but it somehow looked empty, so I added that effect. I may change that tomorrow but I'm not too secure about that - please let me know what you guys think!
medium: graphite pencils + PS on light effect

Nice work I like this its really cool, an idea for shading on water fill a plastic bottle half full of water and try and get it to stand/float in a bath of water, take pictures draw from all angles using different lighting, it will give you some ideas of how shadows work on water
