Shepard

Haven't painted anything in over a year what with moving to Scotland and a new job and all that. I did get more into video games, though, and I just now finished Mass Effect. I had heard of the outcry about the ending (although I managed to stay unspoilered) and while I agree that it was rather "meh" I wasn't overly happy with the general tone of ME3. Seemed a bit dumbed down, sexed up (seriously, Shepard's breast size has grown with every game) and not living up to its potential in terms of moral ambiguity and the brilliant Cerberus set-up of ME2.

Anyway. Despite all the ranting (and trust me, there was a LOT of it throughout the game; seriously... dream sequences?! how lazy can you be, dear writers?!) I have a deep love for the characters and will miss my grumpy Paragon Shepard and her Space Dinosaur boyfriend dearly. I might just do a Renegade run in a few months just because I won't be able to go without Jennifer Hale's voice for too long anyway.
So yes. Sat down and painted my Shepard at the crossroads, pretty much out of the blue and mostly from memory, hence the wobbly details (or lack thereof).

EDIT: Oh, and I realise now the red stripe is technically on the wrong side. Had it flipped when I painted it (which I do a few times to make sure the anatomy's somewhat okay) and flipped it back in the end for the N7 logo. Ah well...
